Hi All,
Welcome to the chilly New Year! I have finished the Newsletter for this month and it will go out tonight, so check your email. If you didn't receive it, send me a personal email @ cindyhogan@cynthiasembroidery.com and I will forward it onto from my email address as some email providers block the newsletter. This month's tip is about using the Name Drop function in PE-DESIGN® 10. This is a great way to create group embroidery designs without having to realign each time you put in a name. You create the pattern once and then type in the other names in a list. It is always best to put in the longest name first so that all of the names fit into the space (the size isn't adjusted). There is a supporting video on my website that you can use to follow along as well. Here is a link to the video page. This link is also in the newsletter for easy reference. http://bit.ly/NameDropFeature
If you missed last month's newsletter, it was on creating a Knockdown Stitch in PE-DESIGN® 10. You can find it on my Facebook page. Be sure to like my Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/cynthiasembroidery1/ so you receive the feeds as they go out. I am trying to make sure I send things in multiple ways so that you have easy access to them.
Create something fun today,
Cindy

Huge Craftsy Holiday Sale
Hi Everyone,
I haven't been sharing the Craftsy Sales much lately, because I felt there were too many of them for me to keep up with and I don't want this site to become just one big advertisement. However, this one is too good not to share with you. All Craftsy classes SITE WIDE are $17.99 or less. Use my #affiliate link below or click on the picture to get the best saving of the year on those classes you have been eyeballing!

Hi Everyone! Long time since I last posted. I have been caught up in preparing for classes and helping launch BES 4 and Simply Applique for Brother, so I haven't been posting. This on top of getting ready to put my house on the market has made life a bit hectic.
However, good news, my newsletter went out last night. The tip this time is on how to use the ScanNCut features that were added in the last update. If you haven't updated your Version 10 software, go do so now! The new functionality gives you an artwork program for the ScanNCut! Yeah! You can arc text, put it on a path, draw stuff and instead of embroidering it, export it to an FCM file and cut out of Vinyl, Heat Transfer Vinyl or whatever you want! Great update!
If you didn't get the newsletter or need me to forward it to you, as always, email me @ cindyhogan@cynthiasembroidery.com.
By the way, I am teaching at the Tidewater EQS show and we have an awesome lineup of instructors. I will be teaching ScanNCut, Applique and Using some of the SNC's upgrade features (stamping and rhinestones) to create a winter apron. This was a great retreat last year. I think this year's will be even better.
Ask for your Cindy Hogan discount by calling: Tidewater's Eductaion Department (757) 321-3952
Have a Sewmazing (my new made up word for you) weekend,
Cindy

I am way delayed on getting this posted. I was trying to create a video on the iPhone and it wouldn't upload to the site or Facebook. I will be adding more from this winter.

National Craft Month Class pick of the day and Princess's dog treats
And today's National Craft month Craftsy pick is Love Your Vegetables. Since I need to eat healthier and I am sure some of you may as well, I watched Anna's class today. Well worth my time...Anna is very engaging and knowledgeable about fresh vegetables. The recipes are easy to follow and sound amazing! Here is my affiliate link http://www.craftsy.com/ext/CynthiaHogan_4231_CP
Just for you....Princess's favorite Dog treat recipe.
1/2 lb lean ground beef
1/2 cup Minute rice cooked to package directions (you need 1/2 cup of water)
1 egg
Brown the beef. Place in a food processor and finely chop.
Add the rice and process some more
Add in the egg and process some more until it is a gooey mix.
Get a microwave safe baking dish and scoop teaspoons of the mix into the bowl.
Place in the microwave for 2min or so. Look and see if they are firm. If not, put them back in for another 45 seconds to a min. Continue until they are firm (not crunchy).
Remove and place on a paper towel to cool.
Place in a plastic baggy and put in the fridge.
This is the only treat she will do anything for! She loves them :)
Enjoy!
Cindy
